Use the current building layout
Provide the latest floor plans and identify proposed exits, circulation routes and tenancy changes. Alterations to partitions or the use of a space can be relevant to the lighting and signage design.
Identify what exists and what is changing
For existing premises, share available lighting records and details of the proposed work. Distinguish retained equipment from new work and flag anything that has not been verified on site.
Coordinate the design documentation
Agree the layouts and supporting information needed by the project team. The responsible designer should confirm the applicable requirements and any interfaces with the wider electrical and fire safety design.
